Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to:

Read notes from previous shift to be informed of any changes or urgent matters that need to be taken care of immediately.

Assist with porting of residents to and from the dining room as well as retrieving walkers for the residents when they are ready to return to their rooms.

Clean all rooms as per schedule, this includes sinks, toilets (raised toilet seats are to be removed) and floors.

Resume any laundry that didn't get finished the day before. Laundry is to be folded and returned to the resident's room.

Strip all beds that are on the bed changing list for the day, remake the bed with clean bedding, clean bathroom, including shower and dust the room.

Vacuuming must be done at least 3X per week and once on the weekend.

Clean all doorknobs and light switches as these are common areas for bacteria.

Ensure there is toilet tissue in each room.

Remove all dishes and trays and return it to the kitchen.

Change all garbage daily and pick up any that's lying around, put it outside in bin.

Any issues regarding rooms should be reported to the RCM to be taken care of.

Dust all pictures, tables, and furniture, in hallways and common areas every shift.

Clean main office and bathroom twice weekly.

Check the supplies to see if anything needs to be ordered.

Make sure cart is stocked at the end of the day for the next shift.

Record all work completed for the day on the provided log sheets and hand in to RCM every Friday.
