We are recruiting for an energetic and self-proclaimed clean freak to fill the position of Full Time Housekeeping Houseperson.
Potential candidates must be available to work shifts on weekdays and weekends including all holidays and be flexible to work extended hours, if business levels dictate.
Job Summary
The House Person is responsible for the cleanliness of the public and guest areas of the hotel and restaurant.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the cleaning of corridors, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets.
Vacuums and mops all public areas including the restaurant.
Buffs tiled floors as required.
Cleans all the glass entry doors and frequently touched surfaces.
Mops vending/ice machine areas and keeps machines clean.
Checks all public restrooms for cleanliness several times through out shift.
Checks elevators for cleanliness; cleaning as necessary.
Cleans the pool deck and recreation area.
Delivers cots and cribs to guestrooms.
Delivers toiletries, towels, pillows, blankets and other amenities to guestrooms upon request.
Stocks supplies needed for linen closets.
Empties room attendants' trash and linen bags.
Deposits soiled linen down laundry chute and carries trash to dumpster.
Vacuums corridors and/or guestrooms.
Sweeps and mops service elevator landings.
Cleans rooms when needed.
Checks lights and changes bulbs.
Checks each floor to make sure fire doors are open.
Maintains outside grounds daily.
Maintenance of the marquee.
Assists in the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Mental Effort
Mental effort required in multi-tasking and handling interruptions that require refocusing.
Listening and mental attentiveness in tasks assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
Physical Effort
Some heavy lifting required.
Standing for long periods of time.
Type of Supervision Required
Reports to the Executive Housekeeper and Manager on Duty.
Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
