Heritage Family Services is hiring experienced Relief Child and Youth Care Workers to support multiple programs across the organization. This is a great opportunity to gain diverse experience, grow your skills, and explore career advancement.

What You'll Do:

Build strong, respectful relationships with youth Maintain a safe, secure, and emotionally stable environment Follow policies to prevent unsafe situations, including youth leaving without permission Assist with daily routines, program activities, and meal preparation Support the youth's identity, self-concept, and emotional well-being Advocate for youth rights and ensure access to support resources Teach basic life and coping skills, including emotional regulation and problem-solving

What We're Looking For:

Grade 12 diploma with at least 3 years of related experience (working with children/youth) Post-secondary education in Human Services, Social Work, or related field (or currently enrolled) is a strong asset Understanding of Indigenous traditions and culturally sensitive practices Respect for diverse identities and communities, with knowledge of inclusive language and pronouns Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-culturally Must provide a Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector), Child Intervention Check, and a recent Driver's Abstract

Mandatory Requirements:

If you are selected as the successful candidate, you will be required to provide the following documents as a condition of employment upon receiving the job offer

A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months

A Child Intervention Check that is dated within the last 6 months

Proof of eligibility to work in Canada

Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver's License

A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months

Copy of education listed in resume.
