OverviewThis is a casual position located in Hay River, NTProvides confidential administrative/governance support to the Corporate Secretary, Chair of the Board, Board Members, and employees of the Northwest Territories Hydro Corporation and its subsidiaries.Responsibilities

• Supports the coordination, logistics, and administration of Board and Committee meetings.
• Provides corporate secretarial support to Board Committees.
• Ensures Board and Board Committee activities adhere to relevant policies, standards, and systems to ensure compliance with all authorities.
• Maintains corporate records, including the preparation of annual returns, and other corporate filings, as required.
• Maintains various planning documents, workplans, and calendars.
• Creates, tracks, and maintains both paper and electronic filing systems for corporate records in compliance with the Corporationxe2x80x99s Records Management System.
• Codes and processes invoices for payment, expense claims, and other financial documents.
• Supports effective and confidential communication among the Board, Ministerxe2x80x99s Office, and Management.
• Acts in place of the Corporate Secretary, as required.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Two-year Diploma in a relevant field such as administration, business, or legal, or at least two years of university study in a relevant field, with a minimum of three (3) years direct experience supporting executives in a professional setting such as corporate or government. Equivalencies may be considered.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to provide high level of accuracy, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English including the ability to draft professional correspondence, reports, and take minutes and actions.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must have a class 5 driver's license.
• Must undergo a Successful Criminal Records Check.

This is a casual position. Salary for this position is $50.05/hr. - $60.81/hr., plus 10% vacation pay. This position is located in Hay River, NT.
