Reporting to the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, this position plays a crucial role in delivering timely and strategic legal guidance that helps safeguard ATRF's interests, reducing risk, strengthening governance, and contributing to the organization's long-term resilience. The Legal Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary provides legal support with a focus on contract negotiation and drafting, governance, legal research, policy development, and supporting legislative requirements. This position also supports Board governance by preparing and maintaining governance-related materials including agendas, minutes, terms of reference, policies, and procedural documents to ensure they meet fiduciary, regulatory, and best-practice standards.
The ideal candidate is a legal professional with a solid foundation of knowledge and experience with a desire to continue learning.
