We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle food and beverage orders accurately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our guests and supporting smooth restaurant operations. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The Counter Attendant will be responsible for food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining food safety standards to deliver high-quality service.
Responsibilities
Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS and handle cash transactions with precision.
Prepare simple food items in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food handling and kitchen surfaces.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
Provide friendly customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation standards.
Skills
Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or food service environment.
Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and communication.
Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
Effective time management to handle multiple orders during peak hours efficiently.
Ability to upsell menu items to enhance sales while maintaining excellent service standards.
Kitchen experience or familiarity with the food industry is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills.
