Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application/Rebate Specialist to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, including cash applications, credit memos, and account reconciliations. Your accuracy and efficiency will help maintain the integrity of our accounts and support the smooth operation of the accounting department.
Responsibilities:

• Process and apply cash receipts to customer accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and reconcile customer rebate accounts.
• Enter credit memos and maintain thorough documentation for audit purposes.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, such as duplicate payments or billing issues.
• Generate regular reports to track accounts receivable and update financial activities.
• Conduct periodic audits of financial records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain up-to-date and accurate account information.
• Perform clerical tasks such as locating contracts and organizing files within Teams/SharePoint folders.
• Utilize SAP and Excel to manage and analyze financial data (SAP S4 experience is preferred; SAP experience is required).

• Strong experience with SAP (SAP S4 preferred).
• Solid understanding of credit memos, rebate processing, and pricing.
• Experience in general ledger reconciliations and cash applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Prior experience in an accounting clerk or rebate specialist role is an asset.
