The CASA Classroom Program is a treatment-oriented program that is a collaboration
between Alberta Health Services, CASA, and school divisions. FVSD is hiring a teacher to
join a multidisciplinary team that will support the mental health needs of grades 5-9
students in a school environment.
The Position:
Experience working with students with diagnosed mental health or social-emotional challenges
Experience in diverse classrooms with a wide range of learning and regulation needs
Training in mental health literacy and trauma-informed teaching practices
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
The classroom will be located in
High Level Public School,
a
Grade 7 to 12
school in
High Level
with a projected enrolment of
500
students

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a
Canadian citizen, permanent resident,
or have a
valid work permit
Must have a
Bachelor's Degree in Education
or its
equivalent
Must be eligible to obtain or have a valid
Alberta Teaching Certificate
Willing to
relocate
to northern Alberta
Incentives:
Attractive Salary - $76,071 to $112,346
depending on experience and education
