Full-Time Educational Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Full-Time Educational Assistant

to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to support student learning, assist with classroom management, and contribute to a positive, engaging, and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students as directed by the teacher. Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources. Support students with special educational needs, ensuring inclusion in all classroom activities. Work with students with behavioural and learning challenges. Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment. Monitor and support student progress and behavior. Supervise students during non-classroom times (e.g., recess, lunch, field trips). Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma (post-secondary education in education, childcare, or a related field is an asset). Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred. Experience supporting children in educational or care settings, especially those with diverse learning needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed. Ability to work as part of a team and follow the teacher's direction. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
