Carpenter - New Home Construction

Maison Design+Build is an award-winning, boutique home builder specializing in delivering design-driven homes to the Saskatoon market. Maison provides clients with high quality custom homes, that go beyond the industry standard. These homes are built to last and are built around the clients lifestyle.

Maison Design+Build is currently looking for an enthusiastic Carpenter to join their talented team. This is a full-time, permanent, position based in their Saskatoon office.

Responsibilities:

Work in coordination with Project Manager and Site Leader to meet project schedule and milestones Reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, diagrams and plans in preparation for execution on various sites Determine the type and amount of material required for each project Plan for and transport all required materials and equipment to site Construction of wooden structures such as concrete forms, frameworks, scaffolding, and similar elements Installing wooden structures such as frames, stairways, rafters, partitions Inspecting the integrity of structure upon their instillation Managing sub trades on sites Establish methods to meet work schedule and coordinate work activities with other departments Requisition materials and supplies Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity

Hours of Work

- Approximately 40 - 45 hours per week

- Monday to Friday with the potential to work evening and weekends

Wage

- Based on experience

Qualifications and Work Experience:

5+ years experience on residential construction 5+ years experience as a Journeyman Carpenter (or other trade) High School Diploma

Must be a problem solver Provide leadership to the on-site staff while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment A positive work attitude, and a team player Fast thinking, clever, and able to make quick decisions Ability to work safely and follow safe work policies and procedures Ability to plan daily / weekly work in accordance to meet project schedules Great interpersonal skills Detail and quality oriented Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, Internet) Ability to work well while under pressure

Required license or certification:

Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drivers license

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
