At Vanstruct Contracting we are a united team and work together to deliver unmatched customer service paired with top of the line craftsmanship. I am looking for a skilled carpenter who has experience framing additions, structural work and basic renovations framing. The candidate we choose will be expected to be sufficient, or willing to learn, all facets of renovation. This includes framing, trim carpentry, drywalling, electrical, demolition and more. The candidate we choose will have a unique opportunity to become a licensed electrician while performing their duties. We are a general contracting company that specializes in high-end renovations and additions. We are also licensed electrical contractors who do all of our own electrical work in-house. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential remodeling, with expertise in multiple trades including demolition, carpentry, drywalling, electrical, and trim carpentry. This role requires a professional who can interpret blueprints and schematics, operate power tools, and deliver high-quality results.

Duties

Read and interpret construction drawings Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, flooring, etc. Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Supervise subcontractors or team members to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to timelines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times. Keep a positive working attitude and bring good energy to the team dynamic

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction renovation projects across multiple trades such as carpentry, drywalling, electrical, trim carpentry, or demolition. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized trade equipment. Knowledge of framing, drywalling, finishing techniques, flooring installation, cabinet installation, etc. Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Valid G class license Owns own vehicle (Truck is an asset) Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, suppliers, and team members. Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
