About the Opportunity:

Homestar Inc. is looking for a motivated

General Carpenter/ Renovator

to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to work extended hours, and a hands-on approach to getting the job done.

Responsibilities:

Perform demolition and prep work for

kitchen and bathroom renovation

Install cabinetry, countertops, backsplashes, flooring, and fixtures Frame walls, doors, and partitions as needed Complete drywall installation, taping, and finishing Perform painting, trim work, and final finishes Load or unload construction materials. Put together and take apart temporary structures Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Follow instructions from lead hands and project managers. Gutters and fascia installation Line painter Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Experience in residential carpentry and renovations is a must

Valid

driver's license Class 5

Criminal record clearance Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and endurance Willing to work long hours and in all weather conditions Mechanically inclined and safety-conscious (CSA-approved steel-toe boots required) Strong time management, critical thinking, and active listening skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
