Job Title: Rough Carpenter - Decks, Fences, and Custom Pergolas

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Rough Carpenter

to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in framing and constructing outdoor structures, including decks(PT, Composite, PVC) , fences, and custom pergolas. This role requires precision, physical endurance, and knowledge of carpentry techniques to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to construct decks, fences, and pergolas. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Install structural components, such as posts, beams, joists, and railings, ensuring durability and stability. Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment efficiently and safely. Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Conduct site preparation, including excavation, leveling, and setting foundation supports. Repair and replace damaged decking, fencing, and pergolas as needed. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to workplace safety guidelines.

Lead a team of 2-3 workers, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure efficient workflow and quality craftsmanship.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in rough carpentry or outdoor structure construction. Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment. Strong understanding of wood properties, framing techniques, and fastening methods. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings. Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations. Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform tasks in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate a small team effectively.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with composite decking and other modern building materials. Knowledge of staining, sealing, and weatherproofing outdoor structures. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Certification in OSHA safety standards (preferred but not required).
