Job Description

We are currently recruiting for 2 Personal Support Workers to support a female employer who's in advanced stages of Alzheimer's with all activities of daily living.

The employer previously had a love for music, art and going on walks

Nursing students, Home Support Worker students and Health Care Aid students are welcome to apply.

Location:

Victoria, BC (Near YuaBistro)

Compensation:

$25.00 an hour

Shifts & Hours of Work:

Saturday and Sundays 8:30am - 2:30pm and 7:30pm - 9:30pm The same employee can't work both shifts

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Daily personal care such as bathing, bathroom routine, dressing, and monitoring and prompting Meal preparation, assistance with feeding and monitoring while eating Light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, and laundry Accompanying employer on walks, and to Mosque (Muslim place of worship) Assisting with transfers

Required Qualifications:

Experience with Alzheimer's Dementia 6 months of caregiving experience or relevant experience Class 5 driver's license Physically able to help transfer the employer (100lbs) Strong command of English or Gujarati Being compassionate, patient and understanding

Preferred Qualifications:

Caregiving experience is an

asset

CPR training is an

asset

Pay: $25.00 per hour
