We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to support an independent dynamic young woman who has cerebral palsy. She lives in a condo near Jubilee Hospital. Her interests include music, humor, movies, fashion, art, acting and writing.
The individual for this role will be willing to learn and grow in this position as well as be motivated to learn basic ASL Alphabet letters/signed English (the client hears but speech is difficult). She also uses an iPad talking App for communication. The employer is willing to orientate and train. She directs her own life, and how support is done.

Location:
Victoria (Jubilee Hospital)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
Friday and Saturdays
5 hour shifts with an afternoon start time
Time to be discussed with employer
Compensation:
$27.00 an hour to start
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
Showering and grooming (Employer is able to stand but unsteady)
Meal preparation and general home management
Attend appointments and accompanying the client on other personal errands/ social/educational activities
Support to trouble shoot technology (e.g. phone Shaw, un freeze iPad)
