Job Description

We are currently recruiting a few Personal Support Workers to assist our male employer with Muscular Dystrophy, to provide personal care and assistance with all activities of daily living.

Our employer enjoys sports, technology, travel and hiking around the city

Location:

Vancouver (near Canada College of Arts & Business)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

Tuesday to Saturday (potential for more in future) Shift time: 8AM to 12PM Availability to take on extra shifts considered an asset

Compensation:

$23 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Personal care including morning hygiene, such as brushing teeth, shaving, bowel routine, dressing assistance Trach and feeding tube care Assist with ceiling lift transfers Light housekeeping

Required Qualifications:

Fluency in Tagalog (both spoken and written) required Previous training/experience supporting high needs individuals an asset Training can be provided for the right person Vaccinations must be up to date (client has compromised respiratory system) Familiarity with respiratory equipment such as suction and cough assist considered an asset Must be comfortable with dogs Physically fit Class 5 considered an asset (has an accessible van)
