Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist our female employer, with Dementia, in her daily personal care and activities of daily living.

Our client enjoys dancing and listening to music.

Location:

Vancouver (walking distance from Broadway-City Hall station, near VGH)

Shifts and Hours:

2 (two) shifts between Monday to Friday; 5 hour shifts; start/end time negotiable; 11am to 4pm 1 (one) shift either Saturday or Sunday (preferred); 5 hour shift; start/end time negotiable; 11am to 4pm

Compensation

$27.00 per hour

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Personal care such as showering, dressing, peri-care, washroom care, and grooming Light household duties such as laundry, ironing and organizing Accompanying the client on walks, monitoring to ensure safety Meal preparation

Qualifications:

Fully vaccinated

required

Two (2) years of previous caregiving experience and related educational experience

preferred

Willingness to be trained

required

Strong communication skills

required

Experience with elderly or cognitively impaired an

asset

Experience with Alzheimer's or Dementia an

asset
