CAREER DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

2 Positions (1 Maternity Leave Replacement)

Visions Employment is a not for profit community based Employment Corporation providing Supported Employment services to individuals with developmental disabilities facing barriers to employment.

Duties include:

Client intake and assessment

Maintenance and supervision of employment placements throughout the business community through monitoring support

Recruitment and supervision of Job Coaches

Establish and maintain client/family relationships

Preparation of written reports

Maintain files and case manage clients utilizing the Accountability and Resource Management System (ARMS)

Additional duties as required/assigned

Qualifications / Skills:

University Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Resources or a related field from a recognized University

An equivalent combination of skills and experience may be considered

Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities

Exceptional interpersonal, time management and organizational skills

Negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Strong computer skills

Skills in maintaining and monitoring employment placements and employer relationships

Supervisory skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of federal and provincial government programs

Familiarity with the Accountability Resource Management System (ARMS)

Use of a private vehicle is a requirement of employment (mileage reimbursement)

Salary: 47,117.00
