We\'re looking for a Cards Insights Specialist to support our Cards Growth and Product team.

Reporting to our Director Card Growth and Product, this role is pivotal in driving the cards division\'s data-driven decision-making and delivering measurable contributions to the department\'s operating margin.

Through rigorous analysis of campaign performance, market trends, and customer behavior, the specialist plays a vital role in shaping growth strategies and enhancing card products.

By collaborating with various teams, the specialist ensures that the organization makes informed decisions to drive organic growth in existing markets and to expand into new territories through innovative cards-as-a-service offerings.

  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from datasets related to credit card usage, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Uses programming skills, ETL tools, MDM tools, and data virtualization solution to recommend, develop, customize, and manage integration tools, databases, and warehouses. Assembles basic sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive market segmentation analysis to identify and target specific customer segments for tailored marketing initiatives and engagement strategies. These insights may be used to recommend innovative marketing campaigns that inspire customer acquisition and elevate product engagement.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimizing campaign strategies, targeting, and messaging.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions or challenges, providing data-driven solutions.
  • Measure product engagement metrics and conduct in-depth analysis to enhance customer interactions and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, Risk Management, and Finance, to provide data-driven insights that inform growth strategies and product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for analysis, and to develop automated reporting mechanisms.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance data collection, data governance, analysis methodologies, and reporting processes.
  • Support the development and refinement of business cases for new initiatives, contributing data-driven insights that guide decision-making.
  • Stay current with industry trends, industry best practices, competitive landscape, and data analytics trends to continuously enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of insights generation.
Requirements

To qualify, you\'ll need at least the following:
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency working with data in tools such as: SQL, Excel, Data Bricks, PowerBI and other data tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate and communicate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in developing and delivering reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record as an intrinsically motivated learner that will seek to improve their understanding of credit card operations, risk management, and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated history of evaluating campaign effectiveness, market segmentation, and industry trends to steer business strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
Although not required, the following experience and education/certifications are valuable assets:
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for predictive modeling and customer segmentation.
  • Previous experience working with credit card data, customer journey analysis, portfolio optimization, campaign management, and product engagement metrics.
