Department Overview

The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team has an enterprise-wide mandate focused on building and maturing the D&A capabilities and tools needed to enable TD\'s key business strategies and drive us towards becoming a truly data-driven organization. Our key stakeholders are the D&A Community across the Bank, though a key priority for us is continuing to build awareness, understanding and adoption with those TD colleagues not in the D&A space as well. Our strategy balances value and capability build to leapfrog our industry peers to: Drive better customer interactions across all channels, enable better business decisions and create more efficient and effective operational processes.

  • Experience developing and implementing Enterprise capabilities with business and product knowledge
  • Working with ambiguity to breakdown and solve business problems by delivering a strategy, methodology, solution/approach, and building consensus with stakeholders across technology and business
  • Experience in consulting and data driven initiatives to lead organizational change and bringing a dynamic mindset
  • Ability to perform and use analytics to develop detailed business cases and explain business value of projects
  • Passion for analytics and a customer-driven mindset
  • Comfortable integrating into cross functional, agile teams and providing leadership across strategy and delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Additional Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
  • Seven (7) or more years relevant experience
  • Experience working within ED&A or Transformation is an asset

About this Role
We are looking for someone to lead several NEW transformation initiatives and Talent Strategy initiatives within ED&A (Enterprise Data & Analytics). With your depth of experience and knowledge, you\'ll work closely with leadership teams, providing thought leadership and insights for a host of projects within the ED&A Talent Strategy team. Your goal? Develop, deliver and communicate world-class solutions that enhance effectiveness related to ED&A\'s 5 Talent pillars; OE, L&D, Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Colleague Engagement and Data Driven Culture. Most notably, you will support and accelerate ED&As transformation to NEW with partners across NEW TO, HR, OE, L&D and Change Management as well as Spoke, Practice, COE leaders within ED&A. The NEW framework allows ED&A to adapt to an increasing pace of change. It aligns to ED&A\'s STRAND positioning and allows ED&A to realize the potential of its strategy more quickly by simplifying how we operate, by unleashing our talent and by delivering better outcomes faster.\xe2\x80\x8b

As a Business Insights Specialist, you will:
  • Lead projects and initiatives to enable TD\'s enterprise-wide data and analytics transformation
  • Bring a consulting and horizontal skillset to lead and support multiple types of engagements encompassing people, process, data, technology aligned to key business imperatives
  • Own or contribute in the development of analytics related assets including analytics methodologies, playbooks and training programs
  • Help make data and analytics a competitive advantage for TD - Enhance data and analytics capabilities across the Bank
  • Work closely with business partners to gain deep understanding of the business and relevant objectives in order to guide the strategic direction of respective business and/or the enterprise
  • Lead on the interpretation of complex business issues, generate multifaceted insights and find opportunities to help drive business growth or address business/enterprise needs
  • Ensure team collaboration with partners on business problems/issues and provide fact-based advice that aligns to strategy and drives shareholder value
  • Work autonomously and accountable for acting as a lead within a specialized business management function
  • Present and communicate generated insights and recommended business actions to stakeholders/ business leaders in an easily digestible manner
  • Build and apply positive working partnerships to constructively influence and inspire partners where appropriate
  • Serve as an authority on a given business domain and provide business expertise to place context around analytics discovery and inform recommendations
  • Call out data/process related problems and communicate to relevant teams in a timely manner and make recommendations for resolution
  • Build insights solutions end to end (from initial demand to results/recommendation presentation) ranging in complexity
  • Provides day-to-day support with respect to Talent Strategy initiatives
