Our Banking Client is seeking a skilled Capital Markets - Business Analyst - IT - 5 to support a major initiative within their GWO - Settlements & Clearing - Derivative Settlements group. The project, part of the SWE Decommission effort, aims to transition from a legacy derivatives settlement system to a modern, ISO-compliant platform (GDMS). Must-have skills include a strong background in business analysis, experience with capital markets, payment modernization projects, and regulatory compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of a Tier-1 bank's settlement infrastructure while collaborating with high-performing teams.
Job Role: Capital Markets - Business Analyst - IT - 5
Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid
Must Have Skills:

• 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• 5 years Cap Markets Experience
• Knowledge of payment systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with JIRA, Visio, PPT, SOP creation, management control implementation

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership & delivery skillsets with capital markets within the settlements space
• Effectively manage deliverables, lead discussions in the absence of BAU stakeholders & take back decisions for BAU leads to opine on
• Proven experience in leading complex projects and driving business transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• ISO Knowledge is an asset

Best vs Average:
The best candidate would be an experienced BA with knowledge of Payments Operations and products. Exposure to Capital Markets is required and ISO experience would be considered an asset. This individual would need to have effectively manage deliverables, lead discussions in the absence of BAU stakeholders & take back decisions for BAU leads to opine on.
