Camp Manager(s)

who will take the campground to a new level of tourist experience, and making the campground a highly rated stop for RV travellers, glampers, and tent campers. As a Camp Manager you are the pivotal person of the camp and will manage the property in every way: grounds management, event ideas & execution, facility cleanliness and aesthetics, staffing & staff management, financial review, increasing revenue and managing expenses, reporting operations to management, executing with great attention to detail, providing great customer service and a happy and relaxed atmosphere with constant hustle in the background with a great attitude. You will be build a network with the business community and tourists near and far.

The campground has 37 full-service sites, 13 power only, and 4 glamping tents, a washhouse w/laundry and office with room to growth upon ongoing success. The campground is located along the Kootenay River, and the area boasts world class recreation. The town of Canal Flats is minutes away with all services & amenities, and the beautiful Columbia Lake is 10 minutes away. Canal Flats is attracting a diverse range of people from mobile workers, tradespeople to young families and retirees.

has grown each year with great team players and we now need a/a team of full-time year-round, dedicated manager(s) to take the campground to the next level as a year-round must-stop visit for tourists.

We are looking forward to hiring an ambitious individual, family, couple, or team to embrace the camp as home, and the journey ahead to build a world class campground and experience for all campers. This is a full-time job that is very busy in the summer and quiet in the winter. The more energy you bring to the campground the more results and benefits you will receive.

Ideal Applicant(s):



Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management in busy environment, preferably a campground. Physically capable of outdoor work. Working knowledge of MS Office. Must be proficient with computers and be able to adapt to new software. Experience budgeting. Experience managing staff and scheduling. Must be friendly, patient, comfortable with the public, and organized. Must be able to work/live drug & alcohol free and to support a healthy environment. Class 5 Drivers License.

Camp Manager Role & Responsibilities:



Full-time. Promote a safe and healthy work environment and property with efficient operations and communication. Welcoming guests & managing reservations, check-ins & outs. Office and guest communications. Cleaning washrooms, office & public areas. Groundskeeping including mowing, raking, trimming, watering, light gardening, garbage & reycling rounds. Light maintenance & repairs, Hire, schedule, train and manage staff. Build and maintain a network of vendors and business relationships in the community. Provide regular rounds of RV park to conduct security checks to ensure safety of our guests. Ensure sites are ready for new guest arrivals. Manage store inventory and sales and ideas. Respond to emergencies and perform temporary repairs to facilities as required; Ensure camp is well equipped and in good working condition, well maintained and clean. Communicate regularly with owners and partners providing detailed reporting on camp action and issues. Ensure consistent compliance with site rules and safety standards. Manage and act with honesty, integrity and great attention to detail. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Your Nature & Skills:



Live onsite full-time. Personal RV preferred but we will provide housing or RV; Interact in a positive and productive fashion with people and maintain effective working relationships. Be independent, creative, responsive and willing to help create a positive camp and recreation atmosphere; Have a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and general equipment maintenance. In good physical shape to manage, clean and organize all areas of the camp. Happy to work outdoors, in all conditions. Enjoy recreation from rv'ing and tenting, to campfires, biking, kayaking or paddling and fishing to hiking and OHV pursuits - or at least appreciate all of that; Able, and happy to work different shifts including late nights and weekends. Able to remain calm under fire, friendly, and to solve challenging situations and people. Able to manage word, excel, reservation systems and phone systems, or willingness to learn; Be able to project a positive & professional attitude at all times and encourage the same in all staff.
