Scott Mission was founded in 1941 by Rev. Morris and Mrs. Annie Zeidman as a non-denominational Christian organization. Position: Camp Kitchen Support

Department: Operations

Status: Full Time -3month Contact until Aug 30

Work Location: 5 McLachlan Drive

Starting Date: ASAP

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Camp Kitchen Support will report to the Food Service Manager. The incumbent will be working closely in the kitchen with the Camp Cook and Food service team to provide hot meal service for Campers and clients

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Wash, clean and sanitize all equipment and utensils used in food preparation

Set up workstation and pick ingredients for daily menu

Prep, wash ,chop vegetables, meat and other items needed for cooking

Assist in cooking as directed by the Cook

Meal packing, labelling and blast chilling

Inventory of supplies needed for Camp

Receive and stage purchased/donated supplies for delivery to Camp

Stage meals for delivery

Unload and wash pans and Cambro carts from Camp

Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitized

Operate the commercial dishwasher

Empty and clean all trash receptacles

Always follow sanitation policies

Assist in other cleaning and food serving duties as needed

Required Experience and Education

:

Previous pot/pans washing/ cleaning experience an asset

Ability to follow instructions

Great communications and an excellent team player

Ability to work in hot and cold temperature

Physical stamina to stand, lift pots and other equipment while washing

Current Food Handling Certificate
