Camp Chestermere

is a vibrant, Christ-centered summer camp and year-round ministry, located lakeside in Chestermere, Alberta -- just 15 minutes from Calgary.

We are hiring a

Sous Chef / Kitchen Lead

to join our dynamic team for the 2025 summer season (May/June-September).

About the Role:

You'll work under our highly experienced Head Chef to help lead kitchen operations during a busy, exciting summer season. You'll support meal prep, manage volunteers and summer kitchen staff, and help ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day meal preparation and kitchen operations. Train and support volunteers and summer staff in kitchen processes. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. Support inventory management and meal planning. Lead by example in following Food Safe protocols. Participate in community events like morning devotionals, evening firesides, and special camp activities.

What We're Looking For:

A committed Christian who can support and model our camp's values. Some experience working in a kitchen (professional or large-scale volunteer experience). Ability to lead a small team (especially once trained by our Head Chef). A heart for service, flexibility, and working with youth. Food Safe certification (or willing to complete a free online course provided by Camp Chestermere).

Compensation and Details:

$575 per week

Free Live-in accommodation available

(camp-style living -- no private rooms)
