Job Description
We are working with a firm hiring a staff accountant!
STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing Notice to Readers, review engagements, small Audits and other financial mandates.
- Preparing corporate, personal, estate and HST/GST tax returns.
- Responding to clients questions.
- Communicating and following up with CRA on behalf of clients.
- Researching and analyzing income tax questions.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to speak and write in English and French
- Public Accounting (CPA firm) - two years (minimum required)
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum of two years of public accounting experience.
- Ability to speak and write in both French and English.
- Proficient with using Caseware, Microsoft and Excel.
- Experience with DtMax preferred, but not required.
- Detailed-oriented, organized and independent worker
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to make and support your decisions
