As a Calgro Driver, your work includes Semi Tractor Trailer driving components, heavy equipment operating, and labouring. Primary duties include:


  • Routine machine cleaning, servicing and maintenance as well as labouring duties as assigned.

  • Completion of a machine log daily.





Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Grade 10 education.

  • A valid Class 1 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and Q endorsement (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits, no current suspensions or charges pending is required.

  • At least 1 year of Class 1 related driving experience and experience operating heavy equipment is required.

  • A basic proficiency working with Microsoft Office will be considered an asset.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to understand instructions.

Working Conditions: This position requires physically demanding work in all types of working and weather conditions. There will be exposure to biosolids.

Pre-employment Requirements
  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • Applicants will be tested for appropriate skills.
  • Must obtain a City of Calgary operator\'s permit
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.





Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.

Compensation: Pay Grade 2 $31.80 - 35.24 per hour

Days of Work: Shifts vary to provide coverage for 7
day/week operations. Evening and weekend work may be required.




Hours of work: Non-standard 38 hour work week
