Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated, creative, dynamic, passionate Baker and enthusiastic individuals to fill the roles of Baker and Chef. In this unique position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service as a Baker and assisting in the kitchen as a Chef. If you have a love for chocolate and a flair for creating high-quality, visually stunning, and delicious baked goods and culinary arts that reflect our global brand's premium standards, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Design, bake, and decorate custom and signature cakes aligned with The Chocolate Room's premium brand standards.
Prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes, cupcakes, brownies, pastries, and desserts.
Collaborate with management and kitchen staff to create innovative, visually stunning, and great-tasting desserts.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the baking area according to health and safety standards.
Assist with day-to-day kitchen and cafe operations, including food prep, plating, and maintaining organization.
Greet and serve customers with top-notch customer service, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience.
Maintain consistency, taste, and visual appeal of all food and beverage items.
Manage baking schedules, ingredient inventory, and ensure consistent product quality.
Take part in menu development, seasonal specials, and event-based cake designs (e.g., birthdays, weddings, corporate gifting).

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cake Artist, Pastry Chef, or Baker (portfolio or photos of work preferred).
Strong skills in cake design, fondant work, buttercream, and decoration techniques.
Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient handling, and temperature control.
Creativity and attention to detail with a passion for aesthetics and flavor balance.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Baking, Pastry Arts, or Culinary Arts.
Experience in a cafe, bakery, or dessert shop environment.
Knowledge of chocolate-based desserts and plated presentations is a plus.
