Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and energetic Cafeteria Worker to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving simple breakfast and lunch items, handling customer transactions, stocking inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and service area. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing great food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, and hashbrowns Cook grill-style lunch foods including burgers, fries, hot and cold sandwiches, soups, and salads Brew and serve large volumes of coffee throughout the day Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately cash out customers Restock shelves, fridges, and prep stations with food and beverage items Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Maintain cleanliness in food prep, serving, and dining areas Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or cafeteria experience is an asset but not required Comfortable handling cash, debit, and credit transactions Ability to cook simple meals with minimal supervision Must be able to work standing for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Friendly and customer-focused attitude
Schedule:
Shifts between 6:30 AM and 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday No evening or weekend shifts
