Edmonton Catholic Schools requires a casual Cafeteria Worker at Ben Calf Robe to assist in the efficient and safe operation of the lunch program. The job provides support to food service activities, including plating and serving caterer-prepared food, washing dishes, and using an industrial dishwasher. Candidates with previous cafeteria experience and experience working with students are preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive the food from the caterer

Prepare and plate the food for students

Deliver the food to classrooms or designated areas

Cleaning duties as required

Qualifications:

High school diploma plus two years related experience;

Knowledge of food preparation principles and practices and inventory control principles;

Knowledge of the safe handling of food, tools, equipment and Occupational Health and Safety practices and procedures;

Awareness of the school's programs and operations;

Ability to work within tight timelines and good problem-solving skills;

Good interpersonal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and administration (verbal and written)
