THE POSITION:

The OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre is looking for customer service-oriented and friendly Cafe Service Attendant(s) to work at the upstairs cafe. The Cafe Services Attendants will ensure that all members and guests experience exceptional customer service, and anticipate and fulfill customer needs through high-quality service and customer engagement.

KEY POSITION COMPETENCIES:

The cafe services attendant possess the following skills:

Excellent customer services skills Have good communication and listening skills Be enthusiastic and encouraging Must be reliable and punctual Able to multi-task without losing productivity Comfortable interacting with individuals of all professional levels Be able to effectively resolve minor disputes when necessary Work well with people in a team environment Able to report or communicate with management and supervisor Work with minimum supervision

CAFE DUTIES:

The key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Required to have a ProServe certification in order to serve the in house beer & wine Make/serve all of the hot & cold beverages on the menu Make/serve all of the food items on the menu Cash-in/cash-out duties before and at the end of each shift Set-up/take-down of the cafe kitchen including cleaning tasks Greet and serve all customers with top customer service skills
*Coffee Barista and cash experience considered an asset

AVAILABILITY:

We are currently looking for someone who is flexible and can work part-time hours during the week:

Weekend shifts between 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Has the availability to pick up extra shifts during tournaments/events (advanced notice will be given)

COMPENSATION:

Compensation to be based on experience level & qualifications

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
