Cafe Line Cook

Job Description

We are looking for a part-time line cook to join our team.

The position is 3 days a week (approx. 20-25 hours). Shifts are morning and afternoon depending on the day.

You MUST have at least 2 years of previous line cook experience in a cafe or breakfast/lunch-type setting

, and be

confident to work solo.



You will follow bake-off in the morning, and setup the food service line along with ingredients prep and make tickets to order. This position is scheduled for 6am starts with bake off procedures and food service as well as afternoon/early evening shifts with a 7pm or 10pm close.

You will also need to know how to watch inventory levels and make new production lists for the next days shift.

Communication, quality and consistency are key to success.



You will be baking off and food prepping our assortment of baked good items and food service menu during the day service as well as evening service.

Minimum 2+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Minimum 2+ years of experience in a bakery or food service role Creative and self-motivated Passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven food Has strong principles in regard to proper cooking techniques, and an eye for detail Keen understanding of kitchen operations and workflow Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Responsible for working during cafe-style hours, which includes mornings starting at 6-2pm and afternoon shifts (12-8pm) Tips and perks included
Candidates MUST possess ALL of these attributes:

Opening display of all baked goods before the cafe opens. Ensuring care is taken for all ingredients and displaying proper technique and safe handling. Responsible for creating and following standardized recipes and portioning for completed dishes. Inventory, cleaning, organizing, and maintenance. Ensures correct use, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and facility. Responsible for working in a clean, and organized manner. Complies with local food safety regulations.
