Island Bagel and Bannock is growing and we're looking for a

Cafe & Growth Manager

to join our leadership team. This is a strategic, operations-focused role for someone who thrives on bringing structure to creativity, clarity, and vision.

Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day cafe flow, ensuring staffing, systems, and service are running smoothly. Manage staff schedules, shift coordination, and team communication. Act as the primary liaison between cafe staff and ownership supporting a culture of collaboration, care, and accountability. Lead inventory systems, ordering, and vendor coordination for food and paper goods. Monitor and help manage food and labour costs in alignment with budget goals.

Growth & Business Development

Take a lead role in growing and coordinating our catering services--from orders and quotes to delivery systems and staffing. Work with directors and managers to shape and manage budgets (weekly, monthly, and annually). Support or coordinate daily social media content that reflects our values, menu, and community presence. Assist in strategic planning for growth, new offerings, seasonal menu shifts, and community-based opportunities.

Who You Are

Experienced in hospitality, food service operations, or cafe/restaurant management. Highly organized with excellent communication and team-building skills. Confident working with systems, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and point-of-sale. A natural leader who supports and uplifts others while keeping things on track. Passionate about community, culture, and working in an Indigenous-led environment. Experienced in catering event-based food service operations

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred) Food service: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

FoodSafe (preferred)
