Chance Cafe is a cozy, locally owned cafe on Commercial Street and Victoria Drive. We're passionate about our drinks, food, and building real connections with our community. We're looking for a full-time, outgoing, and dependable cafe all-arounder who loves customer service, thrives in a team, and can also work independently.

Responsibilities

Take pride in every product you serve and bring your smile to work each day Run day-to-day cafe operations hands-on Prepare drinks and food to order Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and maintain a clean, safe cafe environment Create a welcoming, positive atmosphere for customers and staff Train and schedule team members Help with social media accounts and support marketing/promotions Assist with sales campaigns and community engagement strategies Oversee inventory control and stock management Other duties as needed to support the cafe

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience as a barista/cashier Comfortable using POS systems Food Safe Level I certification (required) High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills Positive, proactive attitude and dependable work ethic Team-player who can also work independently Attentive to detail and committed to consistency Able to work flexible shifts (including weekends) Ideally lives in or near our neighborhood Fluent in English (written & spoken) - second language is an asset
