Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and people management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires effective team management skills, as well as experience in food preparation and cooking. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the cafe run smoothly, from staff supervision to maintaining food safety standards.

Duties

Supervise and lead cafe staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage daily operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving of menu items. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Oversee cash handling processes and maintain accurate financial records using POS systems such as Micros POS. Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members. Train staff on customer service best practices, food preparation techniques, and cafe policies. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance the overall dining experience. Collaborate with other departments to promote cafe offerings within the hotel or establishment.

Experience

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry is essential. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with strong supervisory skills. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations related to food handling. Previous experience in a cafe or barista role is advantageous but not required. A passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential for success in this position.
