Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our tight knit team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of our cafe, ensuring excellent customer service and a welcoming environment. We are a licensed venue, so applicant must be 18yrs +.

Tips are shared equally on a weekly hourly basis, so all staff get shared and paid tips equally.

We are looking for a long term team member to grow with us.

We are seeking an individual who can commit to 3 weekends per month, middle & closing week day shifts.

Our Operational Hours are Monday to Friday - 8AM to 6PM. Saturdays 9AM - 430PM, And some Sundays 11AM - 4PM.

Shifts required for work are (weekdays) 10AM-4:30PM, or 11AM-Close.

Saturday Shifts for work are variety of 9AM-3:30PM or 10:30AM-Close.

Sunday Shifts are 11AM - Close . (currently only open Sunday's for special events, approx 1 per month)

Flexibility to work the variety of those shifts is necessary. Weekends ARE required for this position. (Closing tasks will exceed the operating hours listed above. Typical these tasks are done 30-45 minutes after closing)

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area
- Handle cash transactions using a POS system
- Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons
- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Follow food safety standards and regulations

Skills:

- Strong understanding of food safety practices
- Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience in the food service industry is a plus
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks
- Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new tasks
