Job Overview:



We are seeking a highly detailed and motivated CAD Technician to join our team. The CAD Technician will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate technical drawings for a wide variety of custom wine cellar projects, as well as supporting the design and development of new products.

Key Responsibilities:



Draft the technical design of projects using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and provide a clear and concise drawing, including 2D and 3D models Read and interpret architectural drawings, renderings, site photos, site measurements, and hand sketches as necessary Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager and gather dimensions of the room where the cellar will be installed, the location of ducts and electrical, and other important details Ensure that drawings/designs are accurate to the very last detail, complete, and comply with company and industry standards; provide prototypes to ensure client satisfaction Ensure that drawings and designs are organized and easily accessible in the shared drive Prepare a design for third-party suppliers to show how their section of the project is to be built (i.e. glass, mirror, and countertop, etc.) Participate in design and development projects and provide input on design concepts and techniques Continuously evaluate and improve CAD processes and procedures to enhance efficiency on par with our core values Takes ownership of their projects from beginning to end Attend zoom calls with clients and Project Manager as needed

Qualifications and Competencies:



Formal post-secondary education (e.g. Bachelor's degree) in drafting, engineering, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD Technician in an engineering, design, or manufacturing environment Proficiency in CAD software such as Sketchup is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Outlook, Word Experience with Asana is an asset Strong technical knowledge of interior design, engineering, and/or manufacturing processes is an asset Knowledge of climate control and lighting is an asset Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy and precision Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously Creative and innovative - always thinking outside the box Lastly, being adaptable to change and having a positive demeanor are always desired traits!

Standard 40-hour work week (Monday to Friday) Willing and able to travel if required Willing to work overtime as required A valid passport may be required

Pay: $42,500.00-$70,000.00 per year
