Our employees are a group of people who take pride in the work they do and the contribution they make to this city.Columbia Glazing Systems is currently looking for a 2D/3D Draftsperson to join our team.As a Draftsperson you will be mainly responsible for drafting glazing systems and preparing drawings in accordance with company outlines for various glazing projects around the lower mainland in AutoCAD 2D or AutoDesk Inventor.Responsibilities:- Read, understand and interpret Architectural and Structural Drawings- Read, understand, and review Specifications providing input to the project team.- Have an understanding of Curtain Wall and other Glazing systems.- Develop shop and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD and/or AutoDesk Inventor- Understanding standard drafting procedures.- Assist is the design of faaade and glazing systems- Examine drawings for conformity, errors and potential constructability issues.- Understand building and construction sequencing- Produce shop and fabrication drawings- Continually educating ourselves on available software, product lines, and assembly methods.Qualifications:- Knowledge/experience with AutoCAD and Inventor- Knowledge of Revit is an asset- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position- Must be able to read architectural and structural drawings and specificationsOther:- Working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm- Previous architectural drafting or glazing experience is an asset- Must be able to work independently- Must have good attention to detail- Salary: TBDWe are looking for self motivated individuals who are keen to become part of a dynamic work environment.
