Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our team in Kamloops. You will play a vital role in creating precise technical drawings and schematics that support our manufacturing processes and project requirements. Responsibilities

Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software. Collaborate with the project managers to interpret design specifications. Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards in all drafting work. Modify and update drawings based on feedback and project changes. Assist in the preparation of documentation for manufacturing and construction purposes. Present to stakeholders, both internal and external on project timeline and progress. Support on-site teams with technical drawings as needed. Create & maintain organized digital files of all drawings and schematics. Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes. Perform risk management to minimize risks associated with projects you work on and establish strong communication with clients & vendors. Report and escalate risk management concerns to management as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience with AutoCAD, 3DCAD, Solid Works or Inventor. Strong drafting skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of schematics, steel construction documentation, and 2D drawing standards. Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Experience in steel manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus. Formal training or certification in CAD drafting is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
