Job Description

Family friendly fishing camp with 14 rental units. The units are basic accommodations with 2 to 4 bedrooms, kitchen/living room, and a toilet room. Three units have an in-unit shower or tub. Guests bring their own linens and towels so no laundry or making beds.

We are searching for cleaners for start of season, deep cabin cleans. Also searching for four (4) to six (6) cleaners for Saturday cabin turnover cleans. Must have a reliable vehicle for commute. You must live within a reasonable distance to the camp for commuting.

Start of season deep cleans are done any day of the week depending on availability of cleaners. These cleans are done on single days or no more than 2 consecutive days. This work is performed in May and early June.

Turnover cleans are on Saturdays with a 7am start. Work finish time depends on number of cabins to clean and number of cleaners but latest time is usually 2pm as guest check-ins begin at 2pm. Cabins are cleaned in a 2-person team. Saturday cleans are from mid-May to end of August. Early rental season Saturdays also involve some deep cleans until all cabins are ready for the season.

Pay

: Varies depending on work (deep cabin cleans vs Saturday cleans), experience, speed and attention to detail. The range is $18- $20/hour.

Duties:

Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming Clean and sanitize toilet rooms (and a few showers/tubs) Clean and sanitize kitchens including fridges and stoves Deep cleans require more scrubbing and moving and lifting of furniture Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines Report any maintenance or repair needs to the manager

Skills/Qualifications:

Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required Students welcome Hardworking, reliable & on time Able to take direction, follow company cleaning procedures Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods of time The applicant must be able to work well independently and with others. Eligible to work in Canada and live within a reasonable distance to the camp to commute to work. Any applications with an address not within a reasonable distance and without further explanation for reason for applying, will automatically be rejected.

Start and end dates flexible. We are looking for staff available for early May and /or May to the end of August.
