Job Description


Teradici, an HP company, is the inventor of the PCoIP remote display protocol and developed the Engineering Emmy-Award-winning Teradici CAS to deliver the best virtual and remote desktop experience in the world. We are looking for a talented, creative and team orientated Software Developer to participate in the design and development of our Next Generation Zero Client and our PCoIP Cloud Access Software, which is used by many of the big names in the Media & Entertainment industry, offering a secure, full-fidelity user experience – delivering the ultimate in secure remote access performance. Our Cloud Access Software product spans Linux, Windows and macOS Operating Systems. As part of an Agile development team, you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of software for all platforms supported by the product. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with low-level application development across several operating systems.
Responsibilities:

  • Build software using C/C++ (including modern C++ such as C++14/17), Python, Bash, CMake and others utilizing modern CI/CD technologies.
  • Build and maintain embedded Linux platforms with experience cross-compiling to Windows and macOS.
  • Work within a Scrum team to design, implement and maintain application software.
  • Write high performance, secure, reliable and maintainable code with solid unit test coverage.
  • Coach other developers with regards to code quality, security, maintainability and solution architecture.
  • Create proposals for technical solutions, team processes and procedures, and driving them through to adoption and implementation.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the lab, utilizing debugging tools for application software and kernel drivers.
  • Analyze security reports, design threat models, and harden code.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in C++ software development - 10+ year experienced developers are also welcome.
  • Application development experience with Linux.
  • First class analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile development approaches such as Scrum.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to collaborate with developers, product owners and other team members.
  • Passion to work in an exciting environment and deliver new technologies and products to the marketplace.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn quickly.

Bonus Points:
  • Hands-on experience with test automation and scripting languages (e.g. GTest, GMock, Python).
  • Experience with multi-threaded high performance programming.
  • Experience with Bitbake, Yocto and Ubuntu build environments and app packaging.
  • Experience in a range of languages such as JavaScript, Golang, and Objective-C.
  • Experience with application frameworks that utilize NAPI addons.
  • Experience with IoT methodologies.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with hypervisor/kernel and device driver development (specifically USB) for Linux, macOS and/or Windows.
  • Experience with graphics API's such as OpenGL.
