The Town of Unity is expanding its Bylaw Enforcement service area and is seeking a dedicated individual to help uphold community standards, promote safety, and provide fair and respectful enforcement services. Reporting to the CAO, this full-time, out-of-scope position is responsible for patrols, complaint response, public education, and enforcement of municipal bylaws.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine patrols of neighbourhoods, parks, and public spaces
Enforce bylaws related to parking, noise, animal control, waste management, and property standards
Respond to complaints promptly and professionally
Prepare accurate written reports and maintain digital/physical records
Promote voluntary compliance through education and community engagement
Attend Council meetings and court appearances as required
Manage animals safely and humanely
Maintain an active social media presence to promote awareness of municipal standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
Strong verbal/written communication and conflict-resolution skills
Proficient computer and reporting abilities
RCMP security clearance
Experience or training in law enforcement or regulatory fields
First Aid/CPR; WHMIS, TDG, OHC, Defensive Driving considered assets
