Job Description

I am assisting one of our clients, in the distribution sector, in their search for a buyer - located in Varennes.

Main responsibilities:

-Collaborate with various teams to identify sales opportunities through effective strategic planning of the sales calendar.
-Contribute to product performance analysis in order to recommend a better assortment plan for the future.
-Review and analyze forecasts based on changes in trends or the business climate.
-Monitor and update OTB (Open to Buy) including gross margins.
-Participate in inventory management.
-Negotiate and formalize all agreements by generating contracts, purchase orders and several other official documents with each supplier.
-Work closely with selected manufacturers to develop a logical plan of action for each order.
-Oversee the action plan issued with the supplier to ensure deadlines are met.
-Operate the quality control process (compliance testing and certification).
Maintain a close follow-up of the various samples (supply, production and shipping).
-Conduct ongoing research to broaden our base of approved suppliers.
Contact new factories abroad, coordinate the audit process with third-party inspectors and ensure supplier qualification according to our selection criteria.
-Work closely with the logistics coordinator to ensure that imported products arrive on time at our distribution center.
-Generate, correct and update product data in inventory management platforms (style numbers, UPC, purchase orders, etc.).
