Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meat preparation and butchery. This role involves preparing high-quality cuts of meat, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of our products while supporting the overall operations of our establishment.

Duties

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and safety standards Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and packaged following food safety regulations Operate meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and tools Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock Package meat products for retail display or customer orders with attention to presentation and quality Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service when interacting with customers Follow all food handling guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure product freshness Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed

Requirements

Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or butchery, is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Strong skills in meat cutting, food preparation, and packaging techniques Ability to operate relevant equipment safely and effectively Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate cuts and proper packaging Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration Experience with kitchen or food handling environments is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Pay: $18.00-$23.77 per hour
