We are currently seeking a Business Technology Analyst to join our team.

The Business Technology Analyst provides technical support, guidance, advice and assistance to internal customers of applications, telecommunications, databases, and related enterprise computing systems. This role supports the effective and continued operation of systems and applications, involving troubleshooting, desktop installs, maintenance, and software support.

Here\'s what would be included as a part of your typical day * Technical Support: Provides support to staff by troubleshooting, problem solving and escalating when appropriate. Maintains liaison with vendor contacts as well as branch technical representatives in the event of system failure or required escalation.

  • Installation & Configuration: Carries out setup, maintenance and deployment of client systems, workstations, telecom equipment, printers and related software to department standards
  • Operational Procedures Carries out daily operational routines to optimize hardware and software use. Provides support to all levels within the technology group, ensuring compliance within the framework of policies and standards
  • Documentation: Develops, maintains, and documents installation and configuration of IT processes and procedures. Ensures documentation is reviewed on a regular basis and updated as required.
  • Team Support: Provides support to all levels within the technology group, ensuring compliance within the framework of policies and standards. This role maybe required to work non-standard or additional hour, including on-call and available to travel to various First West business locations, when required.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in Computer Science/Information Technology required
  • Other Certifications, Designations or Licenses - Obtain technical certification (i.e. MCSA) within first of employment required
  • Bachelor\'s degree preferred
  • 3 years related IT experience, including a service desk function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and logical thinking / problem solving with high technical aptitude
  • Good team player with a positive attitude
  • Background in Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Microsoft Active Directory, specifically Users and Computers
  • Solid knowledge of the concepts, theories, practices and techniques of the information technology field, including emphasis on technical service in a call center or help desk environment
  • Familiar with Office 365
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
