As the Business Systems Solution Specialist, you will put your analytical and process-oriented mind to work. You will support business case development through process design and system identification or improvement to address business challenges. In this role, you will:
Work closely with business units to define or support new business processes and functions for systems.
Translate requirements through analysis and research to identify solution option alternatives and rationale for the preferred solution by working collaboratively with the other IS groups and business partners; identify strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement for technology and process.
Gather business requirements through discovery sessions, workshops, or interviews.
Performs analysis work which could include documenting As-Is and To-Be processes, and supporting RFI (Request for Information/Request for Expression of Interest), and/or RFP (Request for Proposal), and/or discovery sessions.
Support business units in delivery of business requirements, business cases and project requests.
Support the business with recommendations, based on knowledge of best practices, providing guidance and advice to support selection/purchase of existing or new solutions. What it takes:
A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or equivalent and six (6) years of relevant experience OR a diploma in Computer Systems Technology or equivalent and eight (8) years of relevant experience
Expertise and knowledge of best practices around business analysis principles and methodology
Ability to interpret business requirements \xe2\x80\x93 translate business to technical and vice versa
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams to support the business units
Ability to produce deliverables on multiple projects concurrently
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
