The successful candidate is requested for the duration of the engagement at two possible locations: * SNB in Brookside Place, Fredericton, NB, which is the designated place of work. SNB will provide office space with access to pertinent information and resources for the duration of the engagement.

Deliverables

The successful candidate must deliver the following to successfully complete the engagement:
  • Perform Systems Analysis - Studies the whole system in detail, from the initial iteration to deployment and release. Works closely with the development team to understand requirements and to develop the product. Scopes epics and features, helps identify areas for automation.
  • Identify Business Needs - Engages with stakeholders to understand their requirements and vision for the product. Then translates the stakeholder vision into business needs and communicates them to the development team to align understanding. Stakeholder engagement is an iterative process, so the ABSA saves time for the development team through repeated and meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
  • Translate Technical Issues - Works closely with the development team to understand the product\'s technical needs and to help them understand the stakeholder vision. The ABSA understands the product\'s technical requirements and clearly explains the technical aspects to the stakeholder and management team; thereby acting as a facilitator/translator between stakeholders and the development team in order to ensure business and technical requirements are met in a balanced manner.
  • Process/System Modeling and Documentation - Represents stakeholder requirements and the associated business data in the form of easy-to-understand depictions accessible to business and technical resources. Similarly, works with stakeholders to model current and future system behaviour.
  • Communicate Progress and Status Updates - When requested, communicates progress and status updates gathered from the development team to project stakeholders. Updates stakeholders in order to facilitate prioritizing work so that product changes can be delivered as per the product owner\'s desire.
  • Conduct QA testing - Performs quality assurance activities, such as test plan development, test case design, and testing-either manually or via development of automated test scripts.
  • Exhibit Lean-Agile leadership - Helps the team embrace SAFe Core Values, adopt and apply SAFe Principles, and implement SAFe practices.
  • Support the Product Owner - The ABSA helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
  • Support RFP development - Supports development of a Request for Proposals (RFP) related to securing an implementation partner for SNB.ca modernization.
Requirement Detail/Qualifications
  • Must have knowledge and experience in the use of information and communications technologies.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in strategic planning and change management.
  • Will lead and/or participate in grant and research proposal writing, presentation(s)
  • Will lead and/or participate in the development and presentation of business/value cases.
  • Will lead and/or participate in the development of business requirements to support business/value cases
  • Liaison (representation) for the organization on regional, provincial and national committees.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) including the preparation of research and grant proposals.
  • Will assist in the development and implementation of solutions to meet the strategic objectives and goals
  • Possess experience in stakeholder management and collaboration
  • Contributes business perspective to project teams
Supervision:
  • May work independently or under the general supervision of a Program Director
  • May direct the work of other business and/or systems analysts.
