Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto)Description:Reporting to the Business Services Lead, the Business Services Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a client group that includes a portfolio of Vice-Presidential and shared services. This involves supporting unit managers on a variety of complex financial issues, ensuring compliance with the university\'s Guide to Financial Management.The incumbent acts as a Business Officer within the Planning & Budget Business Services Hub (BSH), supporting financial, space, human resources, and other administrative functions of the BSH\'s client group. The incumbent is responsible for processing FIS and HRIS transactions, including invoices, expense reimbursements, appointment changes, pay increases, and personal information changes. The incumbent will also perform office, facilities, and equipment management duties, as well as scheduling and administrative support duties for clients of the BSH.Working with the BSL, the incumbent provides support to staff within the client group on issues related to human resource/payroll administration, based on knowledge of university HR policies and collective agreements, and supports recommendations to management on related matters.Qualifications:EDUCATION:
