Overview:Tax and Member Services AdvisorJOB BRIEFOur Tax and Member Services Advisor role delivers on FBC\xe2\x80\x99s specialized business tax and consulting services with a focus on farm and small business taxes and bookkeeping. Your experience in accounting and tax combined with ongoing professional development, will ensure your success in this role.A typical week as a Tax and Member Services Advisor includes gathering necessary financial and tax information from clients to file their tax returns, provide tax advice, and identifying other services, offered by FBC, that would support our clients in their business success.Join us and be a part of the team who serves our valued clients!RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Tax and Member Services Advisor, you will:

• Build strong relationships with FBC clients.
• Deliver outstanding service to our clients.
• Gather financial information while providing advice and consultation.
• Maintain and develop your tax and accounting knowledge and skills through FBC\xe2\x80\x99s career development programs.
• Obtain client referrals.
• Promote all our service offerings to FBC clients.
• Attend community events to promote business development.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSEducation and Experience:

• Experience in customer service with a passion for working with people.
• 3 years of experience preparing business and or farm tax returns.
• 2 years of experience completing corporate tax returns.
• 2 years of experience using bookkeeping software (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage).
• Professional services experience preferred.
• Experience using iFirm tax preparation software would be considered an asset.
• Successfully completed Taxation 1 and 2 would be considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent customer services and relationship management skills.
• Working knowledge of tax and accounting products and services.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
