Flair Airlines is currently seeking a Business Process Analyst to join our growing and ever-changing organization. The Business Process Analyst (BPA) is responsible for supporting the PMO by providing business process support for all corporate and departmental processes at Flair Airlines. The BPA provides subject matter expertise in business analysis, process mapping, and process improvement. The BPA is an agent of change and will leverage best practices to implement corporate-wide standards for process identification, process documentation, and continuous improvement.
The Business Process Analyst is a remote position and Flair Airlines is accepting applications from across Canada.
Primary Job Functions:
The duties of the Business Process Analyst include:

  • Establish corporate-wide standards within Flair’s PMO for business process management.
  • Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops with SMEs to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows (“as is” and “to be”).
  • Develop procedural documentation as it relates to business processes.
  • Develop clear and detailed process maps and business requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify issues and risks and their recommended resolution or mitigation.
  • Develop process test scripts as well as coordination and facilitation of end-to-end process dry run testing.
  • Transition to business users responsible for ongoing management and operation of business processes at end of project.
  • Work closely with the project manager to identify how the business processes and/or tools may impact the people aspect of change and provide support where required to ensure successful adoption and sustainability.
  • Work towards defined project deliverables, ensuring they are met within the identified project timeline and regularly reporting progress to the Project Manager.
  • Able to distill complex ideas into clear, concise communications and customize messages to audience.
  • Able to work in any area of Flair’s business as the need arises.
  • Manages relationships with key business stakeholders to understand changes to business
  • processes and procedures to contribute to the success of the PMO.

Secondary Job Functions:
  • Keep abreast of technical developments of operational importance to the company, and participate in developing or setting standards as directed;

Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities:
  • Report proactive and reactive safety issues;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program;
  • Conduct assigned tasks and corrective actions; and
  • Encourage active participation in the SMS for all personnel.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business Analysis, Business Administration or a related field, plus a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of experience as a Business Process Analyst.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred
  • CBAP certification or desire to obtain CBAP certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to define and develop People Change Management / Business Readiness plans to optimize process and procedure adoption.
  • Experience with MS Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Smartsheet and Nintex ProMapp or similar tools.
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology groups.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to independently manage multiple objectives/tasks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Proven success leading process improvement efforts to completion.
  • Ability to identify problems and collaboratively develop alternatives for resolution.
  • Ability to work in a high stress, ever-changing work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Previous work experience in airline or airport operations is preferred.
