Summary / Role Purpose

The Legal Operations Analyst is responsible for assisting with the optimization of the Legal, Intellectual Property and Risk (LIR) services provided to this S&P500 company. The scope of responsibility of this role involves providing support to optimize the department\'s processes and policies, and includes supporting oversight of operational projects, with an emphasis on driving cross-functional effectiveness in this area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Helps support initiatives for process improvements, including both intra- and inter-department initiatives and the use of internal and external resources, and working collaboratively with operational personnel in other departments.
Analyzes and documents current state processes, reporting, systems and workflows of various activities within the LIR department while driving efficiencies and streamlining processes.

Support the development and operationalization of 3rd party and custom-built technology applications including dashboards, toolkits, legal training, Q&A sites, contract guidelines, etc.

Helps support a culture of continuous improvement within the LIR department by fostering continuous improvement training and concept recognition across the department.

Works with LIR department stakeholders and IT to identify, implement, enhance and maintain technology needs of the department to support LIR work processes.

Maintains contract templates and assists in deploying changes to templates across the company\'s internal and external platforms.

Maintains clear overview, documents and provides timely updates of project timelines and progress against timelines, including documenting project outcomes and communicating lessons learned from the project.

Supports the department\'s communication on global initiatives as well as other communication activities with regional Legal teams.

Assists in the communication of the department\'s policies.

Maintenance of operational tools including SharePoint, Power Automate, and Forms.

Provide 1st tier support for legal operation initiatives.

Minimum Education, Certifications, and Experience

Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent. Years of experience may substitute for education

3+ years experience leading process improvement projects

2+ years of process documentation using MS Visio or comparable software

Strong analytical skills: ability to conceptualize complex business processes

Highly motivated by supporting team success

Positive attitude, with a passion for learning

Highly organized, able to prioritize under pressure, and excellent attention to detail

Creative approach to problem solving balancing multiple priorities

Proven ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Computer skills, including MS Office, SharePoint, and Automate tools (Power Automate)

Ability to use Project Management software (Smartsheet, MS Project)

Ability to work well both independently and in a fluid team environment

Ability to rapidly switch between projects, prioritize work, and anticipate needs of others on the team

Willingness to share solutions and incorporate feedback
